Minister for Sport and Racing
Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games

As Minister for Sport and Racing, and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, it is my responsibility to promote and enhance sport in Queensland. We want to deliver a Games in 2032 that benefits all of Queensland.

A key responsibility is delivering the $250m Games On! program. We want to improve grassroots sports infrastructure across the state from fields and courts to lights and scoreboards. As a life-long sports lover, I am passionate about living and promoting a healthy lifestyle and I’m committed to elevating sport in Queensland. We also know that our future champions start in grassroots sport so it’s important we give them to tools they need to succeed.

We are working closely with the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee and Olympic and Paralympic stakeholders to ensure we deliver the Games that Queenslanders deserve.

Racing is part of the social fabric of our state, and we are determined to ensure the long-term sustainability of the industry in Queensland. We are working with stakeholders from all three racing codes to promote animal welfare, integrity and deliver fit for purpose racing infrastructure in the city and the country.
