On Wednesday 19th July, I officially opened the Everton Park State Primary School “Butterfly Arbor”. This was partly funded by an environmental grant I gave last year. Hopefully, not too long in the future, the whole structure will have a jasmine canopy which will attract butterflies and provide a great shade area.
On the same morning as the Butterfly Arbor unveiling I revisited another planting I did 2 years ago at Everton Park State School, when we planted a macadamia tree!
The picture on the left below is a flashback to 2 years ago at the original planting, and the one on the right is a recent photo showing the tree’s progress. It’s looking good, and it’s great to see our schools so active in improving their local environment.
